Colon Problems
While examining the colon, several colon problems are diagnosed. The commonest ones include; anal fissures, hemorrhoids, and abdominal pains. Polyps is the commonest colon problem that may prove very difficult to treat while hemorrhoids and anal fissures can be treated adequately when detected early. Hemorrhoid colon problems do occur when there are several collections of swollen veins in the rectum which would later resort to excessive bleeding with some itching. Inflammatory bowel diseases are the type of colon problems that arises when there is a serious damage to colon and rectum leading to disorders such as pain diarrhea, and bleeding.
The anal fissure colon problems arise from a painful tear of the anus. This complication will also result in anus bleeding.
Diverticulitis is also a serious colon problem. Diverticulitis complications arises when there are formations of pouches{diverticula} on the walls of the colons. The pouches may start to bleed after sometimes leading to serious abdominal pains. The abdominal growth colon problems are associated with three different types of complications which include; cancerous complications, non-cancerous complications and pre-cancerous complications. The pre-cancerous colon cancer complication arises when abdominal growths become cancerous when left untreated for a long time. One of these abdominal pains is the Polyps which grow on the lining of the colon or rectum. These polyps come different sizes and shapes and some of them can grow as big as a golf ball or even larger than that. These polyps are usually pre-cancerous or non cancerous in most cases. Diverticulitis also results in weaknesses of muscles of the colon thereby resulting in the arterioles not passing enough blood into the mucosa linings of the colon.
Most people that experiences cancer at the age of 50 and above are effects of abdominal growths on the linings of the colon. Abdominal cancerous growths might result on the linings of the colon if they are not diagnosed and treated on time.
Another major colon complication is the CROHN’S disease. This arises from the narrowing of the lumen of the colon which results in the inflammation of the digestive tracts. The Crohn’s disease usually affects the small intestine and most times it becomes too difficult to be diagnosed.
Ulcerative Colitis complications are also some common colon problems found among people of 30 years old and younger. The disease is characterized by abdominal pains, bloating, rectal bleeding, weight loss, fatigue and many more. Tiny ulcers is one of the commonest symptoms of this problem, which might give way to development of pus on the colon lining and then to bleedings.
Diabetes Vasculopathy is also a major colon problem associated with people living with diabetes. This disease usually comes with developments of pockets on the walls of the colon. Inflammations then arises after sometime. Prolonged effects will arise in abdominal pains most especially at the lower left part of the abdomen, rectal bleeding and diarrhea are also some symptoms of the disease. The disease is noticed when the eye vascular quality changes drastically.
